Marina Beach - Bantaeng

A week ago i have no idea how my new year celebration would be.
But all of sudden, at the last week of 2015 i got bad news from home.
My only one grandma that i knew for my whole life passed away and i have to go back to my hometown: Bulukumba.

Anyway, i don't wanna got trapped too much in sadness. I knew it was the best for her, she was sick for long time already even since i was still in high school. The only thing that she could do is laying on her bed.

See you in another life Grandma.

I wouldn't say that i am not happy going back home, but coming back with such a sorrow surely is not what i expected for. I've been waiting to going back home for past few weeks. The last time i went back was on July at the Idul Fitri. Since now i already have responsibility as employee which can't have free days as i wish, having a desire to coming back is not allowed for sure.

Despite the sadness that we felt, yet this shocking moments couldn't stop us for having some happy time celebrating the upcoming new year with better things we believe.

The day after New-Years Eve me and my sister along ( mom and dad are too tired ) with her little family decided to made a visit to one of the most-talked-about beach in Bantaeng: Marina Beach. This beach literally famous because it was a new family destination made by the new regent of Bantaeng which well-known for his ability making Banteng as one of the best region at once make himself as one of the best leader in Indonesia.

It was existed since i was at the last year of Senior High School, yet because i am not actually a beach person though i lived and raised along the beach i don't have much desire to visit this place. Beside, our beach Bira beach still owns my heart.

The moment i step on my feet there, "quite good" is all i can say. What makes this place so overwhelming to talked-about i guess because this place offers a nice and neat condition for family. It has some pavilion located next to the beach and facing towards to the sunset. It also has a lil kids play zone and obviously has some small local shop that offers foods, beverages and souvenir as well.

But, seriously if talking about the beach our Bira beach much more better than this i bet. It was a family beach destination, the beach supposed to be the main show for visitor. I don't mean to make a crack or what, but the beach was ordinary despite the cleanliness it has of course. It has a black sand just like the beach behind my house. So i found it as something usual. We even didn't make it until an hour there

With all respect, Marina beach for certain has become as one of well-known family destination in South Sulawesi. Really proud of the new regent for having such an idea to at least empowering the potential resources of Banteng. As resident of Bulukumba, i would say the regent slightly better than the regent of my hometown. I see lots of good changes in Bantaeng and the best thing is the maintenance that the goverment conduct to make the goodness last. What i really thumbs up for is the cleanliness of Bantaeng. If you coincidentally made a visit or passing through to this city, you will see no dirt or litter along the roads. The goverment succesfully convience and teach their citizen how to make friend with nature. Hope for more another better changes ahead

PS: this is my personal opinion as nomads from Sulawesi who's been living for a while outside. So please do not hate me for what i wrote.

Here's attached some pictures of our short-holiday :)

Happy New Year <3
